In "The Ray of Phobos," Matt Wayne wakes alone in the Martian desert, disoriented and searching for answers after a failed expedition. As he stumbles back to the wreckage of his ship, he finds his crew gone—only to be guided by strange, helmeted figures who hand him a red rock beneath the glow of Phobos.
