Volume 9 of Reiko Shimizu's The Top Secret arrives in this 2012 Tonkam edition, its cover featuring a sharp-eyed figure in a blue suit raising what appears to be a small vial or syringe up to the light with cool, clinical focus. The muted golden tones and that quiet intensity make for a striking image — Shimizu's elegant linework doing a lot of work with very little.
