“Survival 2 of 2: Limbo”

The Titans find themselves at the mercy of a massive, looming gargoyle on this striking June 2000 cover — Nightwing perches defiantly atop the stone creature's head, escrima sticks in hand, while Flash, a mysterious dark-clad woman holding a doll, a red-suited figure with a blade, and a cloaked archer with glowing eyes are all ensnared within the gargoyle's enormous stone grasp. Phil Jimenez's linework gives the whole scene a tense, almost sculptural weight, with the team looking battered but far from beaten. "Gargoyle's Revenge!" promises a fittingly dramatic conclusion to this two-part "Survival" arc, written by Devin Grayson with art by Mark Buckingham.
