The Tick: The Naked City #[nn]

In "null," The Tick stumbles straight from the nuthouse into The City, determined to become a superhero despite zero qualifications. After a chaotic run-in with ninjas and a rather unfortunate encounter with a train, he’s still no closer to proving he’s anything more than a walking punchline.

In "Night of a Million-Zillion Ninja," the absurdly over-the-top Tick finds himself caught in a chaotic tangle when Oedipus, the girl who stole the Thorn of Oblivion from a horde of ninjas, drags him into her family’s dinner party—only to be trapped in her house with the very ninjas she fleeced. What starts as a desperate bid to keep the artifact safe quickly spirals into a surreal evening of mistaken identities, awkward small talk, and ninja etiquette gone horribly wrong.

In "A Big Fight," the absurdity reaches new heights as The Tick and Oedipus are ambushed at a dinner party by a cadre of ninjas, plunging Oedipus into injury and The Tick into a spiraling crisis of identity. With the fate of Ninja World hanging in the balance, The Tick’s resolve fractures, leading him down a path of apocalyptic reckoning—only to be pulled back by a sudden, bewildering intervention from Arthur. Meanwhile, Paul the Samurai, on a cross-continental quest, closes in on his rival Sagin, armed with nothing but a loaf of French bread and a fierce determination to settle the score.

In "Villains Inc.", The Running Guy attempts to boost his clout by staging a fake showdown with The Red Scare, but The Tick crashes the act—turning a staged spectacle into something far more chaotic. What starts as a publicity stunt quickly spirals into a showdown of absurdity, where heroics and hubris collide in the most unpredictable way.
