The Tick #8 [later printings]
In "A Matter of Cosmic Import...And Other Stories...", The Tick—still reeling from a bizarre encounter with Utah sediment mistaken for a meteor—dines with Arthur and his sister, only to be interrupted by a sudden shootout. With the help of Man-Eating Cow, whose unexpected assistance proves invaluable, the duo decides it's time to leave the city behind and head to New York to take on real crime, leaving their bovine ally to guard The City in their stead. Written and illustrated by Ben Edlund, with inks by Dave Garcia and letters by Bob Polio, the cover by Ben Edlund and Dave Garcia captures the absurdity and scale of the moment.

The Tick is struck on the head with what looks to be a meteor but turns out to be sediment from Utah. Arthur and Tick have dinner with Art's sister, but their repast is interrupted by two goons shooting at them. After Man-Eating Cow lends a... uh... an udder in dispatching the villains, Tick decides that he and Arthur will leave for New York to fight real crime and leave their bovine companion to patrol The City in their stead.
