The Thing #5

Ben Grimm stands battered but unbowed at the center of Nick Bradshaw's jam-packed cover, his rocky orange hide bearing fresh wounds as a chaotic swarm of Marvel villains — including what appears to be a snake-wielding figure, a pale vampire-like character, and a pink-haired fighter among many others — press in from every direction. It's a fitting visual send-off for "The King of Yancy Street, Conclusion," promising that the final chapter of Tony Fleecs and Justin Mason's run has put the ever-lovin' blue-eyed Thing through the wringer. If you've been following this series, issue #5 looks like a satisfying, bruising payoff.
