The Stretcher Bearers arrives from Naval Institute Press in 2022 as a striking work written and illustrated by Reid Beaman, with lettering by Ryan Beaman. The cover — penciled and inked by Reid Beaman — is split into two vivid scenes: above, a group of soldiers in WWI-era uniforms and Red Cross armbands press forward through a fiery, shell-burst battlefield carrying a stretcher pole, while below, four more medics carefully transport a wounded soldier on a litter draped in Red Cross-marked blankets.
