That cover command — "Stop That Kid Before He Wrecks the World!" — says it all, with a grinning boy clutching the entire Earth in his hands while the ghostly Spectre and a caped, masked villain clash violently above him in a burst of energy. Neal Adams delivers both the pencils and inks here, and his dynamic, kinetic linework gives the scene a real sense of scale and threat that was unmistakable on 1968 spinner racks. A genuinely gripping package from one of DC's most visually ambitious titles of its era.
