Part two of "Funeral Arrangements" puts the stakes in sharp, vertiginous focus: the Vulture, wings spread wide and menacing, soars high above a quiet suburban neighborhood with a struggling Aunt May clutched in his grasp. Spider-Man lunges upward from below in hot pursuit, the neighborhood rooftops receding far beneath him, making the desperation of the chase palpable. Sal Buscema's cover art — both pencils and inks — captures the raw urgency of a hero racing to protect the person he loves most.
