“A Wolf's Tale ...”

Against a full moon rising over a rooftop, Spider-Man lunges to protect a battered, cowering man from two snarling wolf-like creatures looming out of the night sky — and the cover copy promises that the Lobo Brothers are attacking and the nightmare is just beginning. Sal Buscema's cover art captures a genuine sense of menace, pairing Spidey's acrobatic urgency with the raw, feral threat of the creatures bearing down on them both. With Gerry Conway writing and Buscema also handling interior art, "A Wolf's Tale…" looks like a gripping blend of street-level drama and something far more primal from 1989 Marvel.
