Image's anthology horror series delivers another unsettling chapter with "Death Rattle," brought to life by Ed Brisson and the remarkably versatile Michael Walsh, who handles writing, art, inks, lettering, and cover duties here. Michael Walsh's cover sets the tone perfectly: a crow perches atop what appears to be a car tire in a snow-dusted darkness, clutching a dangling, freshly plucked eyeball in its beak — a quietly gruesome image that earns every bit of dread it promises. If this third issue is any indication, The Silver Coin continues to be one of 2021's most genuinely creepy reads.
