Ringo sees Hammer felled by a silent gunshot. He learns there have been other deaths in Coronado since Sam Peabody died bringing his silencer there. Ringo discovers the killer is Patridge, killing people he blamed for the Confederacy losing the Civil War. Ringo tricks Patridge into firing on a dummy wearing his clothes and then captures Patridge and declares the silencer should be destroyed.
