The Red Mother #5

Issue five of BOOM! Studios' horror series presents one of its most unsettling images yet: a woman bathed entirely in crimson reaches her open hands outward, an eye-like pendant at her chest, while a towering dark figure with a white grinning mask and glowing red eyes looms behind her beneath gothic arches. Jeremy Haun's cover art captures a deeply unnerving tension between the woman's almost welcoming pose and the predatory presence enveloping her. Danny Luckert's interior work on this series has built a reputation for atmospheric dread, and this fifth chapter looks to deliver more of the same.
