Alex's uncle Andrew passes away, leaving him owner of a cabin with several acres in upper Michigan. He invites some friends to come along as he travels out to see the place. The guys discover a sealed chest. Opening it, they are transported to the continent of Azoth, country of Drohm. Soon the women are kidnapped for slaves. The men meet Silverfawn, an elf, who serves as their guide. Dominic finds a skill with a sword. Alex discovers he can do magic.
