The cover tagline "The Ape Strikes!" sets up a wild collision of Old West action and something far stranger lurking at the edge of the frontier. With Stan Lee writing and Dick Ayers on both pencils and inks, this is the kind of offbeat "Blazing Western Action" that kept Marvel's western titles genuinely entertaining well into the Bronze Age.
