The Punisher: War Zone #9
In "Goners," the Punisher finds himself hunted in turn as seven deadly assassins—each chasing the same five million dollar bounty—close in from every direction. With Mickey captured, Stiletto on Lynn’s trail, and Microchip unknowingly followed by the silent Silence, Frank’s pursuit of the Central Park rapist takes a sudden, violent turn when Tequila and Garotte ambush him in the park. Written by Dixon and illustrated by Mike Harris, with inks by Mike Manley and Joe Palmiotti, and colored by Kevin Tinsley, this 1992 issue delivers relentless tension and a chilling sense of isolation. The cover by Mike Manley captures the grim urgency of the moment.
