“River of Blood Part Six: Children of the Gun”

In "River of Blood Part Six: Children of the Gun," the Punisher and Dragunov race through the ruins of Sarajevo, pursued by U.N. forces as they close in on Vikady and Taz, who are driving a nuclear bomb through the city. With Dragunov sacrificing himself to eliminate Taz, the Punisher faces a deadly dilemma—Vikady holds the detonator, and any shot could trigger a catastrophic explosion across the war-ravaged country. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated with gritty precision by Joe Kubert, with inks by Kubert and colors by Joe Rosas, this intense chapter of The Punisher: War Zone features a cover by Joe Kubert that captures the grim urgency of the moment.
