The Punisher War Journal #40

The cover by Michael Golden says it all — the skull-chested Punisher plants his feet and fires point-blank while a frightened woman scrambles behind him, a massive red semi-truck bearing down on them both through what looks like a flood of murky water. The tagline "Roadtrip — Punisher Style!" sets the tone perfectly for Chuck Dixon's story "Good Money After Bad," promising that Frank Castle's brand of highway justice is anything but routine. This March 1992 issue is a propulsive slice of early-'90s Marvel at its most unapologetically action-forward.
