The Punisher War Journal #38

The tagline says it all — "Two Men, One Parachute, No Joke" — and the cover by Kevin Kobasic and Ron Wagner delivers exactly that gut-punch premise, showing the Punisher locked in a mid-air brawl with a yellow-jumpsuited opponent as both plummet toward the earth below. Knives are out, grips are desperate, and the sheer drop visible beneath them makes this one of the more viscerally tense cover images Marvel published in 1992. Chuck Dixon's "Terminal Velocity" promises exactly the kind of stripped-down, high-stakes action that made Punisher War Journal a standout title.
