The Punisher #16
Frank Castle has taken his one-man war to the nation's capital, and Mitch Gerads' cover captures the gravity of that shift beautifully — the Punisher stands small but resolute at the base of the Lincoln Memorial, the massive seated figure looming above him in cool blue shadow, casting a Skull insignia of light across the monument's steps. It's a striking visual contrast between America's ideals and its darkest vigilante, perfectly suited to Nathan Edmondson's "Mr. Castle Goes to Washington" storyline. If you've been following this run, issue #16 looks like a compelling chapter in Frank's D.C. chapter.
