The Psyba-Rats #1

DC's 1995 three-issue miniseries kicks off with a cover that wastes no time — a young woman in a purple-and-blue outfit launches a fierce flying kick while Robin battles armed opponents on a rain-slicked urban rooftop far above the city streets. A masked archer looms in the upper corner as additional armed figures close in from the flanks, giving the whole scene a kinetic, outnumbered-but-fighting energy that pencilers Michal Dutkiewicz and Andrew Kent, inked by Bob McLeod, render with real punch. Writer Chuck Dixon's "They Byte" promises street-level action with a fresh crew thrown into the deep end right from issue one.
