The Pink Panther #12
In "Pink Noon," the Pink Panther finds himself stranded on a bizarre island after fleeing the captain of a cruise ship, where he must navigate a series of absurd trials—including a bumbling big game hunter named Little Big Nose Guy, a zany Tarpit of the Apes and his pet Jeeter, and a tribe that insists he summon rain as the "Pink Spirit." Written by Michael Maltese and brought to life with energetic art by Phil De Lara (pencils and inks), this 1973 Western Publishing comic delivers a delightfully offbeat adventure, with color by the Western Publishing Production Shop and lettering by Larry Mayer. The cover, also by De Lara, captures the chaos in bold, playful detail.

Stowaway Pink Panther escapes from the captain of cruise ship, only to find himself on an island full of challenges, such as Little Big Nose Guy as a big game hunter; the wacky Tarpit of the Apes and his pet Jeeter, and some natives who demand that the "Pink Spirit" make it rain. All these elements come nicely together in resolution to leave the Panther headed back toward the ship he jumped.
