When Captain Mike Strang disappears on the day of his wedding to Connie Moore, Connie seeks the help of the Phantom. They find Mike in Trondelay, a prisoner of Queen Asta because he refuses to be married to her. Asta decides that she wants the Phantom as a husband instead. The Phantom takes Mike's place in prison, but Mike and Connie are recaptured. Asta throws the Phantom to the tigers, with Mike and Connie next. But at the last minute, Asta chooses to save the Phantom and is badly injured instead.
