After an era of great peace, war looms. Government officials plot to rid themselves of Faras, a popular war hero to pave the way for war and offer a reward for her. Gramros helps rescue her from mercenaries after the reward, but later betrays her to Captain Targhan to collect the reward for himself. Instead, Targhan kills Gramros. Meanwhile, the Erara visit Haggarth and convince him to take up a quest to the Caradon where something sinister is happening.
