Steve Niles and Damien Worm's monster-hunting series reaches its fifteenth issue with a cover that's genuinely unsettling — two cracked, fang-bearing skulls emerge from a deep crimson background, overlaid with faded handwritten notes that evoke old research dossiers or occult records. Damien Worm's painterly artwork gives the whole image a weathered, archival dread, as if something ancient has been documented and can't be undiscovered. If you've been following the Allen family's dark work, this 2016 IDW chapter looks like it delivers the atmospheric horror the series does so well.
