Gene Colan and Bob Smith's cover plunges three figures in cold-weather gear into a desperate scramble across a snow-strewn landscape, with a flaming pyramid erupting behind them, debris flying, and a massive snarling beast-face looming in an eerie pink haze alongside ghostly spectral forms. Marv Wolfman's "The Summoning" arc reaches its seventh chapter here, and the cover alone — chaos, fire, ancient mystery, and supernatural menace colliding at once — makes a compelling case for what this series does so well.
