In "Just Killing Time Part One: A Three Hour Tour," a group of interdimensional beings known as The Next accidentally breach the continuum while chasing a dog that’s sniffed out something strange—leading them to Earth. When teenaged Monikka Wong stumbles upon the creature while waiting for her bus, the resulting chain of events forces The Next to intervene, manifesting on Earth in human forms to heal her after she’s struck by a bus. As they grapple with the unintended consequences of their arrival, the authorities from their home dimension send a hunter after them, while Superman and Metron detect the rift and close in. Written by Tad Williams and illustrated by Dietrich Smith, with inks by Walden Wong, colors by Chris Chuckry, and letters by Rob Leigh, this issue features a cover by Dietrich Smith and Walden Wong.
