A milestone fiftieth issue of Marvel's ground-level Vietnam War series, The 'Nam arrives with a cover that's equal parts heartbreak and harsh reality. Tom Morgan's artwork depicts a soldier in fatigues tumbling helplessly through the air, arms outstretched, a large pink heart framing him against a fragmented background — the cover copy spelling it out with blunt wit: "He was a copter pilot.
