“Bitter Victory!”

In "Bitter Victory!", the Hulk takes a bold stand when he rescues Jarella and leads her people in rebellion—only to face a terrifying new threat when the villain Visis allies with the deadly assassin Krylar, whose weapon weaponizes one’s deepest fears. As the Hulk is forced to confront his own violent past, Jarella’s magicians intervene to break the spell, while a sudden reversal of Pym’s serum returns him to his normal size, leaving the fate of the revolt hanging in the balance. Written by Archie Goodwin and brought to life with dynamic art by Herb Trimpe—both on the interior and the cover—this 1975 issue delivers a gripping clash of mind, might, and magic.
