Jul 1983 · Marvel UK · 0.25 GBP

In this pivotal 1983 issue of The Mighty Thor, Thor’s desperate search for Sif takes a dangerous turn when he’s ambushed by Ulik, who manages to separate him from Mjolnir. With the hammer plummeting into a blazing pit, Thor plunges into the flames, racing against time to reclaim it before his human form takes over. Written by Gerry Conway and brought to life by John Buscema’s dynamic art and Don Perlin’s inks, with coloring by Glynis Wein and lettering by J. Costanza, the cover by Gil Kane and Joe Sinnott captures the intensity of the moment.
