This anthology issue contains three stories: "Mick the Midget Merry-Maker," in which a group of children at the beach build a sand castle that keeps getting washed away, then take donkey rides and visit a fairground; "Lorry the Pup," where two boys named Thammy and Timmy draw mustaches and beards on advertisements, leading to a £50 reward being posted for finding the culprit, with a bearded man named Larry pursuing them; "Bob and Doris," a science fiction tale in which two characters encounter a strange alien planet with a city in the distance, a lock gate, and a queer little animal named Manxy that they free, prompting a chase by armed beings; and "The Castle Mystery," a detective story beginning with a hooded man stealing documents from a chest in a grand old castle, leading to mysterious incidents involving Nat, an old servant, and the pursuit of the masked intruder.
