The Massive #23
From the cracked, bullet-riddled windshield of what appears to be a large vehicle or aircraft cockpit, the cover of The Massive #23 pulls you straight into a tense desert standoff — armed fighters on truck-mounted gun platforms visible through the shattered glass, kicking up dust across a sun-bleached Saharan landscape. J. P. Leon's cover art is remarkably composed, using the instrument-laden dashboard and a driver's gripping hands to place you right in the seat of danger. "Sahara: Irregulars," part two of three, continues Brian Wood's post-collapse world with art by Danijel Žeželj and colors by Jordie Bellaire that make every page feel as harsh and unforgiving as the terrain on that cover.
