From a dizzying bird's-eye vantage point, J. P. Leon's cover sweeps across a dense Central European cityscape of red-tiled rooftops while riot police — shields marked "POLICIJAS" — surge through the streets below and a lone figure sprints desperately across the rooftops above them. It's a tense, beautifully composed image that sets the stage perfectly for "Bloc – Part Two: Siege," the middle chapter of a three-part arc from Brian Wood, Garry Brown, and colorist Jordie Bellaire. Dark Horse's The Massive consistently delivers grounded, politically charged storytelling, and this 2014 installment looks like no exception.
