The Lost Books of Eve #1:1
In *The Lost Books of Eve 1:1*, writer and artist Josh Howard launches a bold, visually striking retelling of a familiar myth, reimagining the Garden of Eden not as a paradise of rest, but as a threshold to something deeper. After Eve convinces Adam to build a raft and sail beyond the known world, a sudden storm separates them—leaving Eve adrift and alone, determined to find her husband in the vast, uncharted sea. With bold storytelling and a distinctive artistic voice, Howard crafts a mythic journey that begins not with innocence, but with a choice to explore. The cover, also by Howard, captures the moment of separation with haunting clarity.

The story takes place after the creation of the world and Adam and Eve have been living in the Garden of Eden for a little while together. Eve became curious to see what was beyond Eden and convinced her husband, Adam, to create a raft and take her out into the sea so she could explore. This is where this first issue picks up. Adam has fallen from the raft because of a storm that came out of no where. Eve is alone and must find her husband and thus begins our story. [per Chris Partin]
