The Lone Rider, dressed in blue with a mask, pursues the criminal Rex Mel across the frontier, catching up to him via a steam-powered iron horse when conventional mounts prove too slow. After capturing Rex Mel, the Lone Rider becomes entangled in a conflict involving the Apache Kid and an Apache war chief named Crooked Antler who seeks revenge against Swift Arrow, a rival chief who had defeated him in battle. Fire Hawk, the Apache Kid, faces Crooked Antler in single combat and defeats him by overpowering his knife attack. Swift Arrow then uses smoke signals to lure Crooked Antler and his warriors into a confrontation where they discover the Lone Rider, leading to a final battle between the law and the Apache forces on the frontier.
