“The Secret Mine”

This January 1956 Dell issue puts the tension front and center — the masked Lone Ranger stands back-to-back on a dusty Western main street with a purple-jacketed gunslinger, both hands hovering near their holstered revolvers while additional figures loom in the background. Hank Hartman's painted cover work gives the scene a gritty, cinematic weight that suits the era beautifully. Inside, Gaylord Du Bois and Rex Maxon bring "The Secret Mine" to life, promising another sharp adventure for one of the West's most enduring heroes.
