“Silver-- Condemned”

This September 1957 Dell issue drops readers right into a tense confrontation, with the Lone Ranger — masked, blue-clad, and pistols drawn — squaring off inside what appears to be a stagecoach or building interior against a dark-masked outlaw who is equally armed and ready. Don Spaulding's painted cover work gives the scene a vivid, almost cinematic tension, the two figures locked in a standoff that practically crackles off the page. Inside, Gaylord Du Bois and Rex Maxon bring you two stories to savor, including "Misfire" and the intriguingly titled "Silver — Condemned.
