The Life of Esther Visualized #1

This comic book adapts the biblical Book of Esther, following the Jewish orphan girl Hadassah (Esther) as she grows to become queen of Persia through her beauty and favor. When the new king Ahasuerus (Xerxes) takes the throne, his advisor Haman plots to destroy all Jews in the kingdom after being insulted by Mordecai, Esther's cousin and guardian. Learning of this genocide plot, Esther risks her life by approaching the king uninvited to reveal Haman's treachery and save her people, declaring "if I perish, I perish," and the Jews fast and pray for three days before confronting their enemy.
