“Sounds Like Words”

In "Sounds Like Words," the second issue of The Last Paper Route, Mikey and Arv follow their usual route into the unknown when a hidden passage leads them beneath the city to a network of forgotten catacombs. There, they encounter Carrie, a sharp-tongued rival papergirl, and find themselves drawn into a mystery involving Mr. Beagles, shadowy figures, and a sudden offer of a permanent job on Delton’s route—just as Delton and Lefty begin to quietly question what they’re keeping from him. Written by Sean Jordan and illustrated by Dave Howlett, with lettering by Jordan and cover by Alex Kennedy, this issue deepens the strange, grounded mystery of a paper route that might be more than it seems.
