The Last Defenders #3

Part three of this 2008 Marvel limited series brings the ragtag roster of the Last Defenders charging forward in forceful fashion — courtesy of a Leinil Yu cover that puts four figures front and center: a caped, golden-armored powerhouse leading the charge with fist extended, a blue-and-gold masked hero at his side, and two gun-toting teammates in the foreground ready for a fight. Joe Casey's script, brought to life on the interior pages by Jim Muniz and Cam Smith, promises the kind of street-level tension that "The Movement You Need" suggests is building to a boil.
