The Last Day of H.P. Lovecraft #5

The fifth and penultimate chapter of BOOM! Studios' The Last Day of H.P. Lovecraft arrives with a cover by Jakub Rebelka that is genuinely unsettling in the best possible way — a gaunt, hollow-eyed figure in a fedora and suit stands alongside a dark-haired woman in a red hat and black coat, both dwarfed by a red-and-white striped lighthouse as an enormous, fleshy cosmic eye looms open in the crimson, churning sky above them. Rebelka's fluid, watercolor-drenched palette bathes everything in deep crimson, making the organic horror feel almost geological in scale. If this penultimate issue's cover is any measure of what's building toward the finale, the series is closing out 2026 on a genuinely haunting note.
