# The Killers #1 "Killers Three" features Baby-Face Nelson and his gang members Chase and Jimmy Budge planning a heist. After Nelson gains Chase's trust by hiding out with him, the gang targets a hospital-operated numbers racket in Vallejo for a score. Chase later discovers Nelson has used him and stolen a valuable car, and the story involves mysterious deaths—including a woman named Mrs. Black poisoned with tetanus—that lead to a confrontation over stolen Karlikoff emeralds and the revelation of who killed a collector's father.
