Chapter 10 of DC's inventive round-robin series finds Kamandi front and center, clutching a blazing torch and a torn photograph as he faces down a roaring, armored tiger and a horned animal-being looming behind him — with a small monkey-like creature watching anxiously at his side. Francis Manapul's cover crackles with tension, the warm explosion of light around that torch casting the whole scene in an urgent, amber glow. With Greg Pak writing and Shane Davis on interior art, this penultimate stretch of the twelve-chapter challenge keeps the pressure squarely on humanity's last boy.
