The Incredible Hulk at Bay! [Book and Record Set] #PR11

“The Incredible Hulk At Bay!”

In "The Incredible Hulk At Bay!", the Hulk’s fragile peace is shattered when Betty returns to Hulkbuster Base with him hidden in tow, only to face a sudden assault by Rhino and the Abomination. As Jim and Talia arrive after a cross-country drive to reunite with friends, they find the base under siege—just as the Hulk fights to protect his allies. Written by Steve Englehart and Gerry Conway, with dynamic art by Herb Trimpe and bold colors by George Roussos, this 1974 book and record set captures a tense, emotional clash where loyalty is tested and danger looms around every corner. The cover, also by Trimpe, perfectly captures the chaos of the moment.

Betty returns to Hulkbuster Base with the Hulk secretly in tow and Betty has a tearful reconciliation with her father. Their moment of serenity is short lived, however, as Rhino and Abomination show up to take out the jade giant. Jim and Talia, who have driven two thousand miles just to say "Hi" to their friends, find the base locked down and under siege. As Hulk takes care of the villains, Jim defuses a Gamma bomb set off to destroy the base. With the situation well in hand, Armbruster takes advantage of an unguarded moment to trap the Hulk.
