The Humans #2
The second issue of Keenan Marshall Keller and Tom Neely's gritty ape-biker series plants its flag early with a cover that tells a whole story on its own: a lone figure in a Humans Bakersfield cut stands before a telephone pole plastered with a wanted poster — charging the gang with violence, arson, looting, and disregard for community standards — with at least two members already marked "Deceased." Neely's warm amber palette and clean linework give the scene a dusty, sun-scorched tension that feels straight out of a '70s exploitation film. Return of the Living Dead promises the kind of outlaw drama that earns its edge.
