This collection adapts William Hope Hodgson's classic 1908 cosmic horror novel into a graphic novel format, originally serialized as a four-issue miniseries in 2001. Published under DC's Helix imprint, it follows two fishermen who discover a strange manuscript recounting a man's terrifying experiences in a remote, ancient house that exists outside of time and space, confronting otherworldly entities and visions of the universe's end. The adaptation is credited to writer Simon Revelstroke and artist Richard Corben, with Corben's distinctive, visceral artwork bringing Hodgson's eerie, psychedelic narrative to life.
