Aster helps his grandmother draw the evil from Mikasi, as Charlie makes friends with Ariel, a troubled new girl in school. Ariel, who has discovered magical powers with no family to guide her, is possessed by her own evil fetch. Mikasi draws the evil into himself, freeing Ariel at the cost of his own life. Aster's family agrees to train Ariel and to allow Sedge to attend the public school. The four youngsters form a friendship together.
