U.S. Marshal Bob Hardie, known as the Hawk, rides with a cavalry troop into Apache-ravaged territory where bandits and Indians alike fear his reputation. When the cavalry is ambushed and a gold shipment is stolen, the Hawk pursues the murderous outlaws responsible, discovering that a woman named Della Marcy has been kidnapped during the violence. The Hawk tracks the criminals across the desert, engaging them in a fierce gunfight and ultimately rescuing Della Marcy, though she sustains a wound in the process.
