The Green Hornet #2
In "Money Kills," the Green Hornet and Kato evade a police ambush using the Black Beauty’s signature tricks, only to realize they need to go low-profile. As Commissioner Hamilton tightens his grip on the city’s underworld and a mysterious figure known as Johnny Dollar watches from the shadows, the Crimson Wasp begins a citywide sweep—leading the Hornet and Kato to an exclusive underground casino. The Green Hornet’s next move is already being planned by someone who knows his every trick. Written by Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Tod Smith, with inks by David Mowry and colors by Patrick Williams, this 1991 issue features a cover by Tod Smith and David Mowry.

At a high-level meeting of city law enforcement officials the next morning, Hamilton reveals to Diana a strong fix on and a closed mind about the Green Hornet. A very different meeting has Johnny Dollar amused over the Hornet's difficulties. The Crimson Wasp rousts the city's dives searching for Dollar. One man behind the Hornet pulls a pistol, but the Wasp suddenly appears and kills him. Everyone else either gets incapicated or flees, and the three masked figures have a confab, during which the Wasp tells the Hornet about Dollar, and--by referring to Kato as "Big Brother"--her true identity. Dollar and Don Phillipe restate their arrangements, and the latter lures the Hornet and Kato into a trap....
