Adam Markiewicz's linework does a fine job of contrasting her controlled stillness against the raw anguish of the figures below, framed by what looks like a gothic archway. The cover also teases "horrifying prose for the apocalypse" with a free short story inside, making this 2017 issue a genuinely compelling package for fans of dark, character-driven sci-fi.
